University and Trade School Scholarships
Hovedstad Lodge awards scholarships for college, vocational or trade school education to deserving students for the furtherance of their education.
Scholarships are for Lodge members and members of their immediate family who are active participants in Lodge activities.
Youth Camp Scholarships
For over 50 years, Sons of Norway District 2 has provided safe and educational summer camps. Our camps teach an appreciation for Scandinavian heritage to campers in an engaging environment.
District 2 offers 3 separate 2-week long camps for children ages 9-15. The unique natural setting of each camp enhances the cultural experience of all who attend.
The dates for the Youth Camps in 2026 are as follows.
- Trollhaugen: June 28 – July 11
- Nidaros: July 12 -July 25
- Normanna: July 26- August 8
Cultural Heritage Retreat
Spend the weekend in the mountains at Trollhaugen Lodge learning about
Trolls, and their secrets. A weekend of crafts, cooking, and fun.
Some of the activities to choose from are Rosemaling, Woodcarving, and Hardangersøm. Learn to sing some of those favorite Norwegian songs.
Tuition reimbursement is available for members who fill out an application and are selected. You must be 18 years or older to attend.
This year's Retreat is September 18 - 20, 2026.
